Goal: $5,000.00
Specific Need
The Valley Falls United Methodist Food Pantry provides food assistance to individuals and families throughout Valley Falls and the surrounding communities. Match day donations help us purchase nutritious food, personal hygeine items, and other household essentials through our partnership with harvesters, where we can stretch every donated dollar to serve more neighbors in need.
Your support keeps our pantry shelves stocked year-round and ensures that anyone facing a difficult time has access to healthy food and compassionate care.
Mission
The Valley Falls United Methodist Food Pantry is a ministry dedicated to reducing food insecurity by providing nutritious food with dignity, compassion, and hope. Through the support of our churches, volunteers, Harvesters, and generous community members, we serve individuals and families in Valley Falls and surrounding communities, ensuring that one has to face hunger alone.Profile
The Valley Falls United Methodist Food Pantry is a joint ministry of Valley Falls United Methodist Church and Coal Creek United Methodist Church. Led by Annie Lentz and Julie Metzger, along with a dedicated team of volunteers, the pantry serves individuals and families in the Valley Falls and surrounding communities.
The pantry is open every Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m., with appointments available as needed. In addition, fresh produce is made available every Monday, allowing community members to take the fruits and vegetables they need at no cost. This helps ensure that fresh, healthy food is accessible to everyone while reducing food waste.
Whether someone needs food for a few days or support through a diffucult season, every person is welcomed with kindness, diginity, and respect. Through our partnership with harvesters, and the support of our volunteers, we are able to stretch every dollar to provide nutritious food and essential items to our neighbors. Every Match Day gift helps us continue this mission and make a lasting difference in our community.
