Mission
Friends of Hospice of Jefferson County is committed to caring for the dying and grieving through volunteer service, education, and financial support,
and to promote awareness of quality end of life care together with the Hospice of Jefferson County .
Profile
Hospice recognizes dying as a normal process and believes that an individual is entitled to actively participate in this process. The Hospice philosophy affirms life. It strives neither to hasten nor to postpone death but exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care and the support of a caring community, terminally ill clients can live fully until death. Hospice also strives to support family members before the death and during the mourning period.
