Valley Falls Lions Club Community Improvements

Goal: $10,000.00

Specific Need

In December of 1969 the switch was flipped for the first time. People looked on in wonderment as Broadway (also known as Main Street) in downtown Valley Falls lit up with the spirit of Christmas! Since that first lighting every year the second Sunday of November the downtown street fills with volunteers from local businesses who donate equipment, the Lions Club, Boy Scouts, 4H, and the general public, together everyone works to hang lights and decorations that will turn our quaint town into a magical Christmas wonderland. With prices rising every year, the Lions club needs your help to keep our Main Street looking like a Hallmark movie!

• Each pole is adorned with carefully fluffed garland. Each piece of garland is $78.00

• Every strand of light is tested and any lightbulbs that are broken or burned out is replaced. Each lightbulb is $4.00

• Every pole is affixed with a whimsical ornament these are carefully inspected to make sure they are in top notch condition. If they need replaced they cost $450-$650 each.
