Specific Need

To maintain cemetery roads and grounds, to repair asphalt and gravel roads and to repair older monuments and foundations.

The cemetery is self-supporting and does not receive any tax funds from our local county.

Mission

The Valley Falls Cemetery Association exists to maintain the records of burials (over 4,150) at the cemetery and to coordinate with funeral homes and monument companies as they provide service to patrons of our cemetery.

It offers for sale burial spaces and oversees the maintenance of the cemetery. It meets three times a year to make board decisions.

Profile

Al & Kathy Siegrist do all the mowing of the cemetery. They maintain the equipment, do the closing of traditional burials, and do the opening and closing of cremation graves. The cemetery receives many compliments due to the hard work that they have done for over 25 years.

Many people in our community enjoy using the cemetery for exercise for themselves, with family and with pets.

Board members are Jim Braum, president,;Terry Metzger, Vice President; June Huston, secretary; Paul Heinen, treasurer; and members, Jerry Heinen, Phil Dunn and Travis Mumma.
