Goal: $10,000.00
Specific Need
VFAA is participating in 2026 Match Day to help us raise funds to improve our ballfields. VFAA is solely responsible for maintaining Rush Field and Davis Field. Funds raised in this years Match Day will help us raise money to install new LED lights and poles at the ballfields. Our current lights and poles at both fields are approaching 50 years old. Several of the wooden poles are rotten at the base and none of the poles on Rush Field are regulation height. Our currently poles are 45 feet tall and regulation baseball field lights should be 70 feet tall. By replacing our poles with new regulation poles it will make our fields safer for the players and specators. If the baseball or softball exceeds the height of the poles it is lost in the darkness and sky, making it difficult for players to read and track the ball trajectory. The new poles will have specialized "ball tracker" lights which eliminate blind spots and glares so players and fans can be more easily track a fly ball.
